3D-printed Martin-Baker Mk.10B ejection seats for a model of the BAe Hawk T.1A trainer in 1:72 scale from Reskit – a detail accessory, not an aircraft model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of 3D-printed resin ejection seats of the Martin-Baker Mk.10B type for a model of the British trainer and light combat aircraft BAe Hawk T.1A in 1:72 scale from Reskit. It is not an aircraft model but a detail accessory that replaces the simplified seats from the base kit with a faithful replica with well-worked harness straps and firing handles. The set is intended for experienced modelers.
An ejection seat is an escape system that in an emergency fires the pilot out of the aircraft, seat and all, and then lowers him on a parachute. In a cockpit it is a very prominent and rewarding item. Seats from a boxed kit tend to be simplified, which is why a detailed printed part is bought separately – it looks better under an open canopy. Check which base Hawk kit the seats are shaped for.
Wash the parts free of uncured print resin residue, separate them carefully from the print supports and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways when sanding resin. Painting is manageable with a brush or an airbrush; pick the harness straps out in a different shade and with a fine wash.
This is an add-on printed set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
