An injection-molded plastic kit of the Chinese Type 59-D medium tank in 1:35 scale from Hobby Boss. The set holds assembled link tracks and photo-etched parts for a convincing rendering of the details. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Type 59-D is the upgraded version of the Chinese Type 59 medium tank, which came from the Soviet T-54. The upgrade brought above all a longer gun of 105 mm caliber and the fitting of explosive reactive armor, which extended the combat value of the older chassis.
Assemble and line the running gear up before you close the hull. Glue the plastic with liquid cement, spray the surface with a base coat first and lay the paints down with an airbrush. The blocks of reactive armor and the longer barrel stand out with restrained weathering and with the details picked out by a wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
