1:35 Polish Army T-34/85 RUDY 102, 1st Arm.Brigade is a decal set with the markings of a Polish T-34/85 tank in 1:35 scale from WEIKERT DECALS.
Responsibility details are not available.
A decal set for a model of the T-34/85 medium tank in the service of the Polish army. The set covers the vehicle numbered 102 and marked RUDY and the 1st Arm.Brigade unit. It is an accessory for a finished model, not a kit. The 1:35 scale matches the most widespread size of armored vehicle kits, so the set is aimed at the widest choice of T-34/85 models. The maker is WEIKERT DECALS.
The T-34/85 is the late development branch of the Soviet T-34 medium tank. Against the earlier fit it was given a larger three-man turret with an 85 mm gun, which freed the commander from the double role of commander and gunner and markedly improved performance against armored targets. The Polish units formed in the east received them from 1944 and used them long after the war. The vehicle numbered 102 is among the best-known Polish tank subjects and in Poland it is recognizable at first glance.
The base under a decal has to be smooth and glossy, or a silvering haze will appear under the film. Cut the design out close, dip it in warm water for a few seconds and let it rest until it starts to slide over the backing. Settle it with a soft brush, soak up the excess water and use a softener so that the film follows the welds and the engraved lines. Once dry, unify the surface with matte clear and work the markings lightly into the weathering.
