The railway accessories 1:35 Railway Accessories - Part. 1 from Royal Model combine resin with photo-etched sheet and serve to build a track setting in a military scene.
Responsibility details are not available.
The first set of railway fittings from Royal Model brings the setting of a railway track into a military scene. It combines resin castings with photo-etched brass sheet and is intended for building a scene, not a single machine.
Until the end of the Second World War heavy equipment moved around Europe mainly by rail. Tanks were loaded onto flat wagons at end ramps or from the side off a raised embankment, and with that went buffer stops, transition bridges, signal boxes and wires along the line. It was exactly for that reason that stations and sidings became target number one for air strikes and for resistance actions; a scene at a transshipment yard therefore tells a story by itself, even before the first figure is placed in it.
Separate the photo-etch with a scalpel on a glass or steel surface and make the bends over the edge of a ruler, so that they are sharp. Degrease the brass before the finish and use a primer meant for metal, otherwise the paint will come away. Free the resin of its casting blocks and try it dry in the position you are planning. Rails suit a dark rust with a sheen on the railhead, and wooden sleepers a glaze and a greasy wash.
The contents are unpainted and unassembled, and you should add the fasteners and paints yourself.
