An injection-molded plastic kit of a set of Soviet light antiaircraft guns in 1:35 scale from Meng. The box holds several types of light antiaircraft weapon - the ZPU series machine gun mounts (ZPU-1, ZPU-2, ZPU-4) and the twin ZU-23-2 cannon - together with photo-etched parts. On some of the weapons you can choose between the firing and the travel position, and the barrels can be traversed and elevated. The Soviet light antiaircraft mounts are among the most widespread weapons of their kind. The 14.5 mm ZPU series (single to quadruple barrel) appeared at the beginning of the 1950s; the twin-barrel 23 mm ZU-23-2 followed them and became a symbol of local conflicts all over the world. These weapons are still in use today and turn up both on towed carriages and improvised on the beds of vehicles.
Cut the small parts off carefully and glue them with liquid cement for plastic; attach the photo-etched items with super glue. Leave the moving barrels and mechanisms free before closing up, so that you keep both traverse and elevation. After the base coat with an airbrush, bring out the details with a wash and add dust pigments; the set is excellent as an addition to a diorama or on the bed of a vehicle.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
