A plastic kit model of the German light half-track tractor Sd.Kfz.10/4 with the 2 cm Flak 30 anti-aircraft gun in 1:35 scale from Italeri. The box contains crew figures and link-and-length tracks (individual links with length runs). Decals for several color options of Wehrmacht vehicles are included.
The Sd.Kfz.10 was a light half-track artillery tractor of the German army, widespread throughout the Second World War. The 10/4 version carried the quick-firing 2 cm Flak 30 anti-aircraft gun on a folding platform, which served to defend columns and units against low-flying aircraft. The sides of the body could be folded down to create a working platform for the gun crew, and the vehicle carried both the crew and a supply of ammunition.
On military vehicles it is best to finish and paint the running gear and the interior of the body before it is closed up. Work with thin cement for plastic and dry-fit the fine parts of the gun and its mount first. An airbrush suits a realistic look, followed by picking out the details with a wash and pigments for mud and dust effects on the running gear and the lower areas. The crew figures will bring the finished scene or diorama to life.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
