Royal Model: Sd.Kfz. 164 Hornisse, part 2 (1:35) is a resin and photo-etched upgrade set for a model of the German tank destroyer.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a detail upgrade set from Royal Model, not a vehicle kit. As the second part of the series it adds resin castings and photo-etched metal for a model of the Sd.Kfz. 164 Hornisse (Nashorn) heavy tank destroyer in 1:35 scale. It focuses on the fine detail that is missing from the base kit or is simplified there.
The Sd.Kfz. 164 Hornisse (later renamed Nashorn) was a German heavy tank destroyer of the Second World War. On an open superstructure on the chassis it carried a powerful antitank gun of 88 mm caliber, which could destroy Allied tanks at long range. The open fighting compartment makes the interior and the equipment clearly visible.
Wash the resin parts clean of mold release agent and cut off the casting blocks, and bend the etched parts on a bender. Glue everything with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Degrease the whole assembly and spray a base coat before painting. The open fighting compartment will come into its own with washes, drybrushing and pigments for dust and mud.
This is an additional set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
