An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet medium tank T-34/85 model 1945 from the production of plant 112 in 1:35 scale from the Ukrainian manufacturer MiniArt. According to the name it is the Interior Kit pattern, that is the version completed with the interior equipment of the vehicle. Kits like this tend to have more parts and the build takes longer.
The T-34/85 is the late development form of the most widespread Soviet medium tank of the Second World War. Compared with the older T-34/76 it received a larger three-man turret and, above all, the more powerful 85 mm gun, which markedly improved its ability to pierce the armor of the German tanks of the time. Thanks to the new turret the commander could concentrate on directing the fight and did not have to work the weapon at the same time. The tank was built by several plants in parallel and their machines differ in the detail of the castings and the shape of the turret — plant number 112 in Gorky was among the largest producers and its production features are easy to recognize. Vehicles from 1945 represent the final wartime form of the type.
With a version that has an interior there is one essential rule: paint and bring out the inside before you close the hull and the turret up. A light interior tone, a wash into the corners and fine highlighting of the edges work well, so that the detail is not lost in shadow. The outside of a Soviet vehicle takes a saturated green base, chipping on the edges of the hatches and dust pigments on the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
