It is a richly broken-down model with a high parts count, photo-etched parts and a clear sprue. MiniArt offers this subject both with and without an interior fitted; we recommend checking the exact extent of the interior in this package in the instructions.
The T-54-1 was the first production version of the new family, which followed on from the design changes introduced with the T-44. It used a lower-profile turret derived from the flat turret of the T-34-85 and a hull with a modern armor layout. It was an early version, not yet fully mature, which was soon replaced by further variants. The subject is the basis of one of the most widespread tanks of the postwar era.
Because of the number of parts the model is intended rather for more experienced builders. Join the parts with thin cement for plastic and follow the instructions exactly; finish and paint any interior and the running gear before closing the hull. We recommend a primer and an airbrush, and at the end washes into the recesses and pigments for dust and mud on the suspension and the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
