Rolled tents and bedrolls in 1:35 scale, set number 2 represent the resin load that was strapped onto the hulls of fighting vehicles.
Responsibility details are not available.
Rolled tent sections and bedrolls are among the most typical loads that appeared on the vehicles of every army. This resin set from the Italian brand Royal Model is the second of a pair and offers further shapes and arrangements. You use it on a finished vehicle, with figures or in a diorama; a kit is not included.
The moment a unit left its base, every horizontal surface of a vehicle turned into storage. Tent sections, blankets and sleeping bags were tied into rolls and lashed to engine decks, baskets or hull sides, because there was no room for them inside. For a modeler it is a rewarding element: it breaks up the uniform surface of the armor and gives the vehicle a lively look.
Before you start, rinse the castings in lukewarm water with detergent and separate them from the casting block with a saw; side cutters would chip the resin. Canvas looks best when you play with the base tone: lighter tops of the folds, darker bottoms and irregular patches from damp. Pick the straps and belts out in brown and the buckles with spots of metal. A little dust down at ground level will then tie the load to the vehicle.
Paints, glue and a vehicle are not supplied. It is enough to attach the rolls with cyanoacrylate glue where the crew would really have fastened them: on a basket, on the engine deck or on the side of the hull.
