Karl was one of the heaviest guns ever built on a tracked chassis. Only six were made, and each was given its own name, among them Thor, Odin and Loki itself. The weapon threw concrete-piercing and armor-piercing shells weighing over two tons to a range of several kilometers, and it was used at Sevastopol and at Warsaw. Moving it called for dismantling and rail transport on special wagons.
The model is large and heavy, so begin the build with the chassis and let it cure perfectly before you seat the superstructure on it. Finish and paint the tracks and the running gear before the side sections cover them. A weapon of this size will take heavy weathering: dust in the running gear, wear on the walking surfaces and a faded upper surface. Place the crew figures so that they give the viewer a sense of scale.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
