A replacement transport (narrow) track for the Tiger I and the Sturmtiger in 1:35 scale from AFV Club.

This is an accessory, not a model on its own. The set represents the narrow transport track (Transportkette) that was fitted to these heavy tanks for movement by rail. These are one-piece flexible tracks, which you only join at the ends once they have been painted, so there is no assembling of individual links.
Because of its width the ordinary combat track did not fit on a railway car, so a narrower transport track was fitted and the outer row of wheels was removed. The set therefore makes it possible to build the Tiger I or the Sturmtiger in the transport configuration. The form matches the early type without ice cleats.
The track comes in its full length; you only have to join the two ends with ordinary cement for plastic for a firm joint. The flexible material holds paint well; paint it dark steel, rub the contact surfaces through and add dust and rust shades with pigments.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
