This is a resin accessory, not a kit. The set contains finely detailed end fittings (eyes) for the steel tow cables used on the German Tiger I and Tiger II heavy tanks and on the Jagdtiger tank destroyer. The package holds 20 large and 10 small eyes, which is enough for several vehicles or several variants of cable stowage. The cable itself (wire or thread) is added separately.
Tow cables with forged eyes were standard equipment on German tanks of the Second World War. They were carried fixed to the hull or the sides and served for recovering and towing heavy vehicles.
Wash the eyes free of mold release agent and cut them from the casting blocks. Glue them with cyanoacrylate (superglue). Tie a suitable wire or thread into the eyes as the cable and fix the whole assembly to the brackets on the vehicle. Apply a primer before painting; bring the metal out with a dark wash and a hint of rust. Wear respiratory protection while sanding.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The cable itself, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
