It is not a model of the locomotive but an accessory that replaces and refines selected plastic parts with etched components. The set is cut for the Trumpeter kit with the manufacturer's part number 00210, and the basic model is not included in the package.
Photo-etch brings thin elements that cannot be cast faithfully in plastic: fine covers, strips, clips, brackets and other details of the relevant part of the locomotive. It is worth combining the accessory with the basic sets for the same model.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife on a hard mat, bend them with a photo-etch bending tool or a metal ruler and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate) or two-part epoxy. Degrease the brass before painting and go over it with primer for metal.
This is a detail set, not a model. The basic kit, the glue and the paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
