A supplementary set of wheels for the American armored vehicle of the MRAP category, that is a vehicle built so that the crew survives the explosion of a mine or an ambush, in the two-axle 4x4 version. The wheels have the bulge of the tire that arises under the weight of so heavy a vehicle suggested in them.
A perfectly round wheel touches the base at a single point, and the model then looks as if it were barely touching the ground. On vehicles of high weight, meanwhile, the contact patch is distinctly wide and the sidewall of the tire arches out above it. The set solves that difference for you, without your having to sand or heat-form a wheel.
The flattened part of the tire must point toward the ground, or the model looks worse than it did with the original wheels. Before the glue dries, stand the vehicle on a flat board and level all the wheels into one plane. Cut the excess material and the traces of manufacture off with a sharp blade a little way from the part, sand the rest back and wash and degrease the surface before painting. Dry-fit the joint; cyanoacrylate glue proves itself for gluing. Do not paint rubber pure black, as a dark gray with a brown cast looks more faithful. Settle dust from pigments from the bottom upward and leave most of it in the tread and around the rim.
