An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:35 scale representing the LAV-C2 wheeled armored command and communications vehicle of the United States Marine Corps. The package holds sprues of gray plastic, an eight-wheeled chassis, a hull with a raised roof and photo-etched parts. Decals with USMC markings and assembly instructions are enclosed.
The LAV-C2 is the command and communications version of the LAV family of wheeled armored vehicles of the United States Marine Corps. The raised hull houses communications and command workstations that let a commander direct and coordinate subordinate units under armor protection. The vehicle is cross-country capable, all-weather and air-transportable.
Assemble the chassis and the wheels first, then the hull and the superstructure. Glue the plastic with thin modeling cement and the photo-etched parts with super glue. Treat the surface with a primer and paint with an airbrush; bring out the wheels and the underside with washes and pigments for dust effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
