A diorama building of a dwelling house in the Western European style in 1:35 scale. It is not a model of a vehicle but an architectural set piece for a scene. The set consists of accurately cast plaster parts (a harder ceramic version in the newer editions) complemented by laser-cut features. The proportions and the division of the walls match the buildings of Western Europe in the Second World War period.
A dwelling house gives a diorama scale, cover and a background and becomes the natural focus of a scene with vehicles and figures. The flat walls, the windows and any damage offer rich possibilities for patina and for telling a story.
Plaster is easy to cut, drill and sand and, being absorbent, takes acrylic paints, washes and pigments excellently. The parts are glued with PVA or super glue, the laser-cut parts with wood glue. The castings are brittle, so handle them with care; cracks can be filled. Prime the surface before painting.
The building is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
