Kubelwagen Type 82 wheels, early pattern 1, 1:35 from Voyager Model: printed replacement wheels in resin for early vehicles. An accessory for a model, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set reproduces the early version of the wheel of the light Volkswagen Type 82 off-road car. Early vehicles differed from later ones in a number of details, and the wheel is among those a viewer notices first. The parts are made by 3D printing from resin, so they have crisper drawing of the tread and the pressing of the disc than injection molding of plastic can achieve. It is not a vehicle kit but a replacement part.
The Volkswagen Type 82 entered service at the beginning of the 1940s and served until the end of the war as a liaison, reconnaissance and staff car. An air-cooled four-cylinder engine at the rear, drive to the rear axle and a very low weight earned it the reputation of a car that gets through even where heavier vehicles get bogged down. The early and late series differ not only in the wheel but also in small details on the body and the equipment.
Cut the parts off the supports with a sharp scalpel and level the contact surface with a fine file, so that the wheel sits square. They are glued with super glue, that is, cyanoacrylate. Before painting, check that the variant you are building matches an early vehicle, or the set will not fit the subject. Paint the rubber dark gray rather than black and finish the surface with pigments to match the ground.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
