This precisely turned metal barrel replaces the plastic part on a model of the Soviet KV-1 heavy tank. Metal guarantees a perfectly straight axis and a sharp muzzle without mold seams. It is a detail accessory to a kit, not a model in its own right.
The KV-1 was a Soviet heavy tank of the early Second World War. The later variants carried the ZIS-5 gun of 76.2 mm caliber, which raised the firepower as well as the resilience of the turret. It is precisely this weapon that the barrel reproduces faithfully.
Deburr and degrease the barrel, so that the primer and the paint hold. You will seat it in the plastic gun mantlet, usually with super glue or a two-part glue. First go over the metal with a metal primer, then paint and weather it like the rest of the model.
This is an accessory, not a model in its own right. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
