1:35 Zündapp KS 750 Wheels for Academy kit

Special Hobby (CMK) 1:35 Zündapp KS 750 wheels (for Academy)

This item is not a model but a detailed set of wheels in resin from the Czech brand CMK (Special Hobby). It is made for the Academy kit of the German military motorcycle with sidecar, the Zündapp KS 750, in 1:35 scale. The cast wheels replace the standard plastic parts with a more faithful rendering of the tires and the tread.

What the set adds

Wheels are impossible to miss on a motorcycle, and how faithful they are strongly affects the impression the finished model makes. Resin castings offer crisper detail of the tread and the rim than injection-molded plastic usually does. Replacing the wheels is one of the quick and yet highly visible upgrades.

Building tips

• Wash the parts in warm soapy water to remove the mold release agent.
• Cut the casting blocks away with a saw or a sharp knife; do not snap them off by force.
• Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue), as cement for plastic does not hold on resin.
• Apply a base coat before painting; when sanding resin, protect your airways and ventilate.

Who the set is for

• For modelers building the Zündapp KS 750 in 1:35 from Academy.
• For builders who want more faithful wheels without extensive modification.

This is a resin accessory for a model, not a kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
