The Type 055 is a large guided missile destroyer of the PLA Navy that has been entering service in recent years. It is among the heaviest destroyers of the present day: it combines a powerful radar system, extensive vertical launch cells for anti-aircraft, anti-ship and anti-submarine missiles, and a hangar with a deck for a helicopter. The ship is conceived as a multirole escort unit able to operate within a formation as well as independently.
Glue the hull and the superstructures with a thin modeling glue for plastic, and fix the fine photo-etched antennas and nets with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Assemble and paint the radar masts and the superstructures separately and only then set them in place. Apply a primer and a uniform gray naval finish with an airbrush, and bring the deck and the details out with a fine wash. The model can be completed with railings of your own and set on a stand or built into the waterline version.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
