A well worked-out detail, or upgrade, set from Flyhawk for improving a plastic model of the Japanese heavy cruiser Takao in 1:350 scale. It is NOT a model of a ship but a set of accessory parts that replace and supplement the thick plastic parts with finer photo-etched and other pieces. The set is meant for a particular plastic kit of this cruiser and cannot be built on its own without it. The set is meant for the Aoshima 08833 kit.
The Takao was the lead ship of the class of the same name of Japanese heavy cruisers of the Second World War period. She was marked by a massive superstructure and strong gun and torpedo armament, and she was one of the most powerful cruisers of the Imperial Japanese Navy.
