This plastic kit in 1:48 scale captures the Bell AH-1G Cobra attack helicopter in the service of the Spanish Navy and the Israeli Air Force (IDF/AF).
The AH-1G Cobra was an American two-seat attack helicopter, the first machine of its category designed from the outset as a dedicated attack platform. The Spanish Navy acquired eight machines (local designation Z-14) armed with the 20 mm M-35 gun system and used them to support patrol boats. Israel was among the first export users and took six Cobras into its first attack helicopter squadron in the late 1970s; the machines saw intensive use over Lebanon, among other occasions during the 1982 war against armored vehicles.
Mask the cockpit glazing and glue it with care. Finish the cockpit interior and the pylons before closing the fuselage up. Apply the paint with an airbrush; the differing Spanish and Israeli schemes come into their own once the panels are picked out and a discreet weathering of service wear is added.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
