1:48 AIM-26A Falcon missiles (2 pcs) represents the enlarged offshoot of the Falcon family of the kind carried by air defense machines of the 1960s.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set brings a substantially more massive offshoot of the Falcon family. The body is larger in diameter, the forward surfaces are small against it and the tail carries short fins. The figure (2 pcs) is written in the name of the item. In 1:48 scale the difference against the slimmer early Falcons stands out at first glance, especially when the two generations are set side by side.
The weapon was created for the interceptors of US air defense and the most typical carrier was the Convair F-102A Delta Dagger, which carried it in the weapons bay inside the fuselage. It was the only weapon of its family with so large a body diameter, so it was carried in the bay only in small numbers alongside the smaller Falcons.
Try the trapeze and the missile dry in the bay first, because the space tends to be tight on Delta Dagger models. Paint the casing separately from the aircraft, leave it smooth and bring up the sheen only with the final overspray. The thin fins are best leveled on glass with abrasive paper after cutting, otherwise they will twist when seated. If you are building the bay doors closed, it is worth leaving at least one missile beside the model as a showpiece.
The contents are missiles to be fitted to a model only; neither the aircraft nor tools belong with them.
