Bristol Blenheim Mk.I – colored 3D interior 1:48 (Quinta Studio)

The set brings three-dimensional interior elements colored in production, printed by 3D printing and carried on decal paper. It is not a kit but an accessory for detailing the interior of a plastic model of the British Bristol Blenheim Mk.I light bomber in 1:48 scale. The parts are thicker than ordinary decals and combine the relief of resin with the easy application of a colored photo-etched set. The set is prepared for the Blenheim Mk.I kit from Airfix.

The real subject

The Bristol Blenheim Mk.I was a British twin-engine light bomber of the 1930s and 1940s that was among the modern machines of its class at the start of the Second World War. The glazed nose and the roomy cockpit with its instruments offer plenty of room for detailing a visible interior.

Use

• Cut the part out, dip it briefly in lukewarm water and slide it off the backing like a decal. Do not use a decal softener: this printed resin surface cannot take it.
• Seat it on the matching interior surface; secure the thicker parts with a tiny amount of glue.
• The pre-colored instruments and lettering usually need no further painting.
