A photo-etched detail set for the Citroën Traction 11 CV staff car in 1:48 scale from Aber. It is a set of photo-etched metal parts, not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set contains photo-etched metal parts for detailing a plastic model of the Citroën Traction 11 CV staff car in 1:48 scale. It is not a car kit but an accessory for a higher level of detail. The thin brass parts replace thicker plastic elements and add areas that cannot be molded faithfully. The maker is the Polish brand Aber.
The Citroën Traction Avant (the 11 CV type) was a French passenger car produced from 1934 to 1957, one of the pioneers of front-wheel drive and unitary bodywork. During the Second World War it was widely used as a staff and service car on both sides of the front. The photo-etched parts make it possible to refine the radiator grille, the wipers, the handles, the trim strips and other small elements of the bodywork.
Nip the parts off the fret and make the bends along the etched lines. They are glued with super glue (cyanoacrylate) or with epoxy. Spray the metal parts with primer before painting, so that the paint holds well. The chrome trim comes into its own once varnished to a gloss.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. The car model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
