An injection-molded plastic kit of the famous American four-engine bomber in 1:48 scale from Hobby Boss. It is a sizable model with a richly worked out full interior including the bomb bay, with photo-etched parts and rubber tires. The package offers three marking options. With a span of over 69 cm the assembled model is a genuine giant of the shelf.
The Consolidated B-24 Liberator was an American heavy four-engine bomber of the Second World War. It was marked by a narrow, high-mounted Davis wing, twin fins and a roomy bomb bay. The B-24J version was the most widespread variant, with an improved bombsight and turrets. Liberators became famous for their long range and large bomb load and for service over Europe as well as in the Pacific; they are among the most numerously built American combat aircraft of their day.
Use liquid cement for plastic and work in subassemblies. Finish and paint the interior and the bomb bay before you close the fuselage and the wings. Apply a primer before painting; spraying with an airbrush is ideal. For natural metal schemes, metalizer paints laid onto a smooth, polished base work well; camouflaged machines can be managed with an ordinary acrylic set. Bond the photo-etched parts with super glue.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
