A resin 3D-printed detail set for experienced modelers. It is NOT a model in its own right but an accessory that replaces the exhaust nozzles (engine ends) of the supersonic Convair B-58 Hustler strategic bomber in 1:48 scale. The set reproduces the inner and outer structure of the nozzles faithfully and raises the realism of the engine nacelles, which older plastic renders in a simplified way.
The B-58 Hustler was the first American strategic bomber capable of sustained supersonic flight, powered by four turbojets in separate nacelles under the wing. Precisely shaped nozzles are therefore a prominent feature of the model. Check the fit against your own box in 1:48.
Separate the parts from the casting blocks, wash the mold release agent off them and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Sand with respiratory protection. Apply a primer before painting; the metallic and sooted shades of the nozzles come out best with an airbrush.
This is a resin detail set, not a model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
