A resin and 3D-printed wheel set for the French Dassault Mirage III supersonic fighter in the B and C versions. It is NOT an airplane model but an accessory that replaces the landing gear wheels of the base plastic kit with more faithful castings. The wheels usually have separate tires with worked tread and detailed rims. The set is intended for more experienced modelers.
The Dassault Mirage III was a French supersonic fighter with a characteristic delta wing. The Mirage IIIC version was the single-seat fighter variant, while the two-seat Mirage IIIB served for training. The type was exported to a number of countries and became one of the most successful European fighters of its day.
Cut the parts from the casting blocks and wash off the mold release residue. The tires can be lightly sanded at the contact patch for a realistic impression of load. Set the rims and the tires apart in color, bring out the tread with a dry brush and add a dusty patina.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and, as an aftermarket set, calls for a more experienced hand. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
