The real subject

The small MD-3 tug is used for towing and moving aircraft on the ground. It has neither an enclosed cab nor a tall superstructure, the operator sits on it practically under the open sky and is clearly noticeable when a model is looked at. With this type of equipment, then, a figure of the driver changes the result more than with vehicles with an enclosed cab, where it would not be seen anyway.

Take care, because a further item exists with an entirely identical name and scale which differs only in its code, so compare the product code when ordering. Building and painting tips

First cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder down, so that no burrs are left on the edges of the clothing. Wash the surface in lukewarm water with dish soap and let it dry thoroughly. A thin primer coat follows, then the flat colors and finally the shading. In 1:48 it is enough to suggest the face and the hands with a few strokes, because exaggerated detail loses its effect in this scale. Adapt the shade of the working clothes to the scene into which you are putting the figure.
