An injection-molded plastic kit of the Lockheed Starfighter supersonic fighter in 1:48 scale from the maker Kinetic. The box is conceived as a 2 in 1: it makes it possible to build either the single-seat F-104A interceptor or the two-seat TF-104 trainer version. The kit uses modern fine engraved detail and concentrates on machines of the Republic of China Air Force (ROCAF).
The F-104 Starfighter was an American supersonic fighter of the Cold War, nicknamed the missile with a man in it because of its extremely thin and short wing. It stood out for its high speed and rate of climb and was a typical interceptor. The F-104A version was the early single-seat one, while the TF-104 was the two-seat trainer conversion. Starfighters served in many countries including the Republic of China Air Force, where they carried out air defense tasks.
Use liquid cement for plastic and work in subassemblies. Finish and paint the cockpit before you close the fuselage; on a long slender airframe, consider weight in the nose so that the model stands on its nose gear. Apply a primer before painting and put the colors on with an airbrush. On silver metal finishes, metalizer paints on a smooth, polished base and a fine emphasis of the panel lines work well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
