This is a detail set, not a stand-alone aircraft model. It contains replacement exhaust nozzles for the F-4 Phantom II fighter in the E, J, F, G and S versions in 1:48 scale by Reskit. The parts are resin, 3D-printed components designed to replace the plastic nozzles from the base Zoukei-Mura kit. A corresponding base kit is therefore required for use and is not included in the package. Check the exact contents of the package against the manufacturer's part number.
On jet aircraft, the exhaust nozzles are among the most visible details, and the molded plastic parts in the box tend to be simplified. The 3D-printed resin nozzles offer a finer, more accurate structure of the inner and outer petals, which after painting significantly boosts the realism of the model's rear end. The set covers the E, J, F, G and S variants, so it can be used for the corresponding Phantom versions built from the Zoukei-Mura kit.
First wash the resin and 3D-printed parts in lukewarm water with a little dish soap to remove any residue of uncured print resin. Carefully cut away the print supports and sand the surfaces smooth – when sanding resin, protect your airways and work with extraction. Glue the parts with cyanoacrylate glue, ideally onto a good primer coat. Bring out the metallic, sooty tones of the nozzles with wash effects and dry-brushing. Before buying, check compatibility with the specific version of your kit.
