This is a pair of resin, 3D-printed replicas of the GBU-31 JDAM guided bomb in 1:48 scale. It is NOT an aircraft model but an armament set for completing the stores of a finished kit. Reskit is a Ukrainian manufacturer of aircraft accessories, and the set uses fine 3D printing with sharply rendered detail.
The GBU-31 JDAM is an American guided bomb of the 2000 pound weight class with a GPS/INS guidance kit and tail control surfaces. The US Air Force version was carried among others by the B-1B, the F-35, the F-22 and the F-111C. It serves for precision strikes on ground targets in any weather.
First wash the residue of uncured resin off the parts, cut the supports off carefully and sand the surfaces down, with respiratory protection. Glue resin with cyanoacrylate glue. A base of primer and subsequent shading according to the chosen scheme work well.
The set contains the resin parts only; paints, glue and the carrier model are not included in the package.
