An accurately 3D-printed resin set in 1:48 scale containing two GBU-62 guided aerial bombs of the JDAM-ER family together with pylons for hanging them under a model. The printing captures the fine detail of the guidance section, the tail control surfaces and the glide wing considerably more sharply than injection-molded plastic.
JDAM is an American guidance kit that turns a classic unguided bomb into a precision guided weapon using satellite and inertial navigation. The Extended Range variant adds a deployable glide wing, which increases the reach of a release. These bombs are carried by modern tactical aircraft.
Separate the parts carefully from the print supports and wash them. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The bombs are usually finished in light gray or olive with colored marking bands; the fine lettering is suggested with a decal. The pylons supplied make for a faithful mounting under the wing or the fuselage of a model.
