Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit in the popular 1:48 scale from the Polish manufacturer Arma Hobby, who specialize in Hurricanes and offer them with fine surfaces and modern tooling. The model captures the tropical Mk.IIb version with the characteristic dust filter under the nose.
The Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIb was armed with twelve machine guns in the wings and powered by the more capable Rolls-Royce Merlin XX engine. The version designated trop received a dust filter for operating in demanding climatic conditions. Hurricanes as a type served not only over deserts and in the tropics but also in harsh northern regions; the tropicalized machines with the dust filter went above all to hot and dusty conditions.
Glue the fine parts with thin cement for plastic and use a primer before painting. Desert and European RAF schemes come out best with an airbrush and gentle emphasis on the panel lines with a dark wash. If the package contains masks and photo-etched parts, they will make the glazing easier and refine the cockpit detail.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
