Reskit He-162 Salamander / Spatz - replacement wheels (1:48)

This is not an aircraft model but a resin detail accessory - a set of replacement landing gear wheels for a model of the Heinkel He-162 fighter in 1:48 scale. It replaces the wheels from the original kit with more accurate resin parts with a realistic flattening of the tires under the weight of the aircraft (the weighted effect), thanks to which the model looks as if it really stood on the ground. The tread pattern and the shape of the hub are finely worked out.

Fitting and use

• Before bonding, wash the parts to remove the mold release residue and let them dry.
• Separate the wheels carefully from the casting blocks (by cutting) and sand the cut faces down.
• Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate) - ordinary cement for plastic does not hold on resin.
• When sanding and cutting, protect your airways (a respirator) and work in a ventilated area.
• Before painting we recommend a primer for better adhesion of the paint.
