Workable control surfaces for the Hawker Hurricane Mk.II 1:48 let you build the fighter with its control surfaces deflected off center. The base airframe model has to be obtained separately.
Responsibility details are not available.
The rudder, elevators and ailerons of the Hurricane were fabric covered, so the rib structure shows through and the fabric sags slightly between the ribs. That structure is difficult to mold into plastic in this scale, which is why models deal with it using separate surfaces. The product serves as an upgrade to a build already under way; it does not stand in for the aircraft itself.
A parked aircraft never has its surfaces at a perfect neutral. Set them a little off center and a model immediately loses its stiffness and starts to look like an aircraft the pilot has just stepped out of. It is one of the simplest ways to give a static model a story and to set it apart from dozens of identical builds.
The Mk.II family received the more powerful Merlin XX engine, and the sub-versions differed in armament, from twelve machine guns to cannon and racks for bombs or rockets. The type carried much of the weight of the Battle of Britain, but it served out its real career afterwards, on every front and in many roles that nobody originally predicted for it.
Do not paint the fabric surfaces to a high gloss; a semi-matte finish matches reality far better and lets the shadows between the ribs come out. It arrives without paints and without a plastic kit. Choose the rest of the equipment for finishing according to your own build.
