Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:48 scale capturing the A6M5 Zero Model 52 carrier fighter built under license by Nakajima. It is a new mold from FineMolds with very fine detail and accurate engineering. The set faithfully reproduces the differences between Mitsubishi-built and Nakajima-built machines, above all in the paint and in the rendering of the national insignia.
The Model 52 was the most numerous version of the Zero, and alongside the parent Mitsubishi plant it was also built in quantity by Nakajima. The license-built machines differed from the original in small details of the transition between the dark green and the underside color and in the width of the white border around the hinomaru on the wings. The version entered service in 1943 and carried the longer barrel of the 20 mm cannon as well as the rounded wingtips.
The fuselage is shaped with slide molds, so the assembly is accurate. The canopy has a separate frame and glazing, which makes masking and painting easier. We recommend thin plastic cement, a primer and airbrush painting, and protecting the glazing with a mask.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
