Ju 87 B-2/R-2 Stuka 1:48 from Italeri: an injection-molded plastic kit of the early dive bomber of the beginning of the Second World War, with photo-etched parts.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German dive bomber Junkers Ju 87 B-2/R-2 Stuka in 1:48 scale from the Italian firm Italeri. The model allows both the early B-2 bomber version and the long-range R-2 variant with the option of drop tanks to be built. The box holds photo-etched parts, a well-detailed engine and decals for several machines including a finish of the Regia Aeronautica under the nickname Picchiatello.
The Ju 87 Stuka became a symbol of the blitzkrieg at the start of the Second World War. The characteristic inverted gull wing and the fixed landing gear with its spats gave the aircraft an unmistakable silhouette. The B-2 version was the classic dive bomber that released its bombs in a steep dive; the long-range R-2 variant gained the ability to carry drop tanks for greater range. The machines also served with the Regia Aeronautica.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and glue them with liquid cement for plastic, and the fine photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a primer before painting and spray the camouflage with an airbrush in thin coats. Mask the glazed greenhouse canopies and pick out the panel lines and the fabric surfaces with a subtle wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
