MiniArt Junkers F.13, early production is a detailed plastic kit of the first all-metal airliner in the world in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit from MiniArt represents the Junkers F.13 aircraft in its early production form, in 1:48 scale. The model captures the characteristic corrugated duralumin skin faithfully and offers a well worked out interior and engine. Besides the plastic parts the box contains photo-etched parts and a decal sheet with several marking options.
The Junkers F.13 was the first all-metal airliner in the world, introduced shortly after the First World War. Its corrugated duralumin skin and cantilever low wing were a breakthrough design solution for their time. The aircraft was used all over the world to carry passengers and mail and became a milestone in the history of civil aviation.
Finish painting the cabin and the interior before you close the fuselage. Use thin cement on the plastic and glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. The corrugated skin comes out beautifully with the texture brought up gently by a wash; the metal areas look best in natural metal shades over a smooth base.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
