Two Kh-31PD anti-radiation missiles with launchers in 1:48 scale from Quinta Studio. Intended for kits from various manufacturers.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Kh-31 is a Russian supersonic air-to-ground guided missile. The version with the letter P is intended against ground radars, that is, for silencing the air defenses, and the designation PD refers to the extended-range form. You can recognize the missile by its slender body with side air intakes for the ramjet, which starts once the booster stage has burned out. It is carried by tactical aircraft of Russian design.
The package contains two missiles including their launchers in 1:48 scale. The parts capture the shape of the body, the air intakes and the fins in a form that molded plastic usually only suggests. The set is intended for kits from various manufacturers, because it is fitted from the outside onto a pylon and calls for no intervention in the structure of the model.
Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder away, taking care over the thin edges of the air intakes. The parts are not polystyrene, so use cyanoacrylate glue. Before painting, wash the surface, degrease it and lay down a primer. Paint the missiles separately and fit them only onto the finished model. The particular procedure follows the manufacturer's instructions.
The set is for a modeler who is building a contemporary Russian tactical aircraft armed for the suppression of enemy air defenses. Two pieces correspond to one pair of external stores. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
