This is a resin (3D-printed) detail accessory from CMK in 1:48 scale. It contains the German MG 42 machine gun with its mounting and further fittings for the fighting compartment of the Marder III Ausf.M self-propelled tank destroyer. It is not a model of a vehicle but a set that sharpens up the armament and the fittings of the open fighting compartment compared with the parts from the box.
The MG 42 was a German general-purpose machine gun of the Second World War, famous for its high rate of fire and the characteristic perforated barrel jacket. Marder III vehicles carried this machine gun as the secondary defensive armament of their open hull.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent residue, separate them from the casting blocks and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Apply a filler primer before painting; bring out the fine perforated barrel jacket with dry-brushing and a wash.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and without the base model. Glue, paints and the target kit are not included in the package.
