A decal sheet in 1:48 scale for Bf 109 G-10 fighters in the service of the Hungarian Air Force in the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-10 was one of the last production versions of the most widespread German fighter of the Second World War. It was powered by the DB 605 V12, mounted inverted, that is with the cylinder heads downward, which gave the nose its slim, pointed silhouette. The G series machines served at the end of the war with the Hungarian Air Force as well, which used them above all in the defense of its own territory.
The set is a decal sheet for a model in 1:48 scale; the model itself and its parts are not included. The decals are wet, that is they are soaked in water before application and slid off the backing paper onto the model. The manufacturer's accompanying sheet shows where the individual markings go on particular machines.
A decal holds best on a smooth gloss coat, so coat the area with gloss clear first. Cut the part out as close as you can, soak it for a few seconds in lukewarm water and let it soften to one side on paper. Once it is in place blot the water away, add a decal softener so that the decal pulls down into the engraved lines, and when it is dry seal the whole model with a matte or semi-gloss clear coat, which sinks the edges of the carrier film in.
The set is for modelers who want to build a Hungarian machine and are not satisfied with the decals that come with the kit. The package contains only the decal sheet, unless stated otherwise; the model, paints and clear coat are not included.
