An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet MiG-15bis jet fighter in 1:48 scale from Bronco. The boxing is aimed at machines of the Korean War period and it is a modern injection tooling. The kit calls for ordinary modeling skills - separating the parts from the sprues, cleaning up, gluing and painting. Check the exact contents of the box and the number of marking schemes against the manufacturer's part number for this item.
The MiG-15 was a Soviet single-seat jet fighter with a swept wing that meant a leap in the performance of the fighters of its day. The bis version received a more powerful engine and a number of changes improving the qualities of the machine. The MiG-15 became famous above all in the Korean War, where it became a threat to Allied bombers and an equal opponent for Western jet fighters. It carried heavy cannon armament.
Cut the parts from the sprues and glue them with liquid modeling cement for plastic. Paint and pick out the cockpit before closing the fuselage, and mask the clear canopy (which can be built open or closed) when spraying. Apply primer and the colors with an airbrush, and put the decals on over a gloss coat. A natural metal finish calls for a smooth surface - pick out the panel lines with a fine wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
