A detailed resin (3D printed) set from Reskit that replaces the exhaust nozzle of the jet engine on a model of the MiG-23 fighter in the ML and MLD versions in 1:48 scale. The set offers the nozzle in two positions, closed for standing on the ground and open for the flight configuration. It is not an aircraft model but an accurately made accessory for a part-built plastic kit.
The adjustable petals of a jet engine nozzle differ according to whether the engine is running on the ground or in flight. This set brings both variants with the faithful texture of the plates and fine definition, thanks to which you can bring out the tail of the model to match the scene you choose. The parts are designed as a direct replacement for the production nozzle.
Wash the remains of the mold release agent off the parts, separate them carefully from the print supports and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Apply a primer before painting to unify the resin with the plastic; the inside of the nozzle is worth bringing out with a darker shade and a hint of soot.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
