The MiG-25 is a Soviet twin-engine interceptor built for high speeds and altitudes. You can tell it by the massive angular fuselage, the high-set wing and the pair of vertical tails. The PD version is its modernized interceptor form. The cockpit is single-seat and, once the canopy is opened, it is very well visible in 1:48 scale.
The set combines two different technologies. The basis is a colored three-dimensional interior shaped for the MiG-25PD kit from ICM, that is the elements of the instrument panel, the side consoles and other parts of the cockpit with raised relief and finished colors. According to the name it also includes separate parts made by three-dimensional printing from resin, which add to the inside of the cockpit the parts that a flat element cannot capture.
The colored interior elements are printed on a decal backing paper. Cut the part out, soak it for about fifteen seconds in lukewarm water and slide it off the paper into place. It has no adhesive of its own, so paint the cockpit in advance and polish it with a gloss varnish of the Future, Klear or Tamiya X-22 type; on broken-up surfaces a drop of super glue helps. Do not use a decal softener or a setting solution, the chemicals attack the printed resin. With the printed resin parts the procedure is different: cut the print supports off with a sharp blade a little away from the part, sand the rest down, wash and degrease the parts and bond them with super glue, because they are not polystyrene.
The set suits a modeler who wants the cockpit of a large interceptor finished faithfully and quickly and is not afraid of working with tiny printed parts.
The box contains this set only. The aircraft kit, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
