The HS.748 is a British twin-engine turboprop airliner with a low-set wing, designed as an undemanding machine for short and unpaved runways. It came about at the Avro company and, after the firms merged, was sold under the Hawker Siddeley brand. In India it was built under license by a domestic manufacturer, and in Brazil military examples served under a type designation of their own. Besides the ordinary transport role the machines were also used to carry government and military figures, that is in the trim this kit is aimed at.
In a small scale the cleanness of the surface decides. Glue the fuselage after a dry check, fill the seam on the spine and the belly and sand it with fine paper, because on glossy paint every unevenness shows. Either set the windows in and sand them flush, or leave them out and imitate them with gloss black paint. The propellers and the landing gear legs are small; separate them with a sharp knife and clean the cut surfaces with a small file. VIP schemes tend to be glossy, so spray thin coats and let them dry properly. Apply a gloss coat before the decals, use a softener and seal the surface with a gloss or semi-gloss overcoat as needed.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
