This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:48 scale from Kinetic represents the Swiss versions of the delta-winged Mirage III, specifically the IIIS fighter and the IIIRS reconnaissance aircraft. The kit contains the parts specific to these versions and offers several marking options for the Swiss Air Force.
The Mirage III was a supersonic combat aircraft with a characteristic delta wing. The Swiss IIIS version was adapted to the needs of that country's air force and carried its own radar and added canard foreplanes; the IIIRS reconnaissance version had a reworked nose with cameras. The Swiss Mirages served for decades and left active service at the beginning of this millennium.
Finish the cockpit and the instrument panel before closing the fuselage. The delta wing and the nose call for careful alignment; smooth the joints by sanding and with filler if needed. A primer base and an airbrush will give an even finish; apply the decals over a gloss coat and seal them with a matte or satin coat to match the real aircraft.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
