This set is NOT an aircraft model but a resin detail accessory intended for F-5E Tiger II models in 1:48 scale. It replaces the simplified plastic exhaust nozzles with a set of precisely cast parts that faithfully capture the structure of the end nozzles and the internal geometry of the combustion chamber. The set is intended for more experienced modelers.
On fighters the engine section is one of the most closely watched places on a finished model. Cast nozzles with thin edges and a deepened interior look more realistic than the plastic parts from the base kit and take even detailed weathering of burnt metal. The parts are designed as a direct replacement, so fitting them usually calls for no major modification of the fuselage.
First wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off carefully and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways while sanding. Apply a primer before painting; the metallic shades of the nozzles come out best over a dark base followed by a dry brush or pigments.
This is an accessory set, not a complete kit. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
