An injection-molded plastic kit of the American Republic P-47D-28RA Thunderbolt fighter and attack aircraft in 1:48 scale from MiniArt. It is the Basic Kit edition, that is the basic version of the package without accessory sets, with decals for machines from the Pacific theater. The package contains plastic parts, a clear cockpit part and a decal sheet for three color versions.
The Republic P-47 Thunderbolt was among the most massive single-engine fighters of the Second World War. It was powered by a powerful radial engine with a turbocharger and was armed with a battery of 12.7 mm machine guns. The P-47D-28RA version had a bubble canopy with an excellent view. In the Pacific the Thunderbolts proved themselves as tough machines for escort and for attacks on ground targets over long distances.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. Finish the cockpit before closing the fuselage. Mask the bubble canopy thoroughly. We recommend a primer, covering with an airbrush and a gloss varnish before the decals; you will bring out the metal surfaces and the wear with a wash and fine pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
